The Chamber is looking for volunteers to help clean up a portion of the LA River and ground cover planting at its 35 th Annual Clean-Up Day. This event gives volunteers a chance to see and experience the Los Angeles River for themselves, allowing them to contribute to the important efforts to improve the River's environment for people and wildlife.

We will focus on the LA River between Laurel Canyon and Whitsett Ave. and remove trash and invasive vegetation, opening up the view of the River along this section of the Los Angeles River.

The event is from 8 a.m. to Noon with a Continental Breakfast and a lunch provided for volunteers.

The event is ideal for students who need community service credit as the Chamber provides 4 hours for the 8 a.m. to Noon shift. Students who stay and help clean up the staging area can earn additional hours for time worked.

This LA River Clean Up is also ideal for company’s who have volunteer teams as it creates team building and fellowship.

Families, neighbors, and friends are invited to join in the clean up as well!
