Calling all local entrepreneurs and small business owners! We need you in high school classrooms this November!
Junior Achievement of Sacramento will be partnering with local entrepreneurs and leaders like you to inspire high school students with JA Launch Lesson this November! This initiative coincides with National Entrepreneurship Month and puts entrepreneurs into classrooms throughout the greater Sacramento region to share what inspired them to start their own business and open students’ eyes to the opportunities provided by entrepreneurship.
We are excited about this national partnership with the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC) the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and Ernst & Young (EY). We hope that many local entrepreneurs will participate!
The JA Launch Lesson is an inspirational 1 hour classroom guest speaking experience led by entrepreneurs and small business owners that explores entrepreneurship and highlights the opportunities, challenges, and preparation required for successful business ownership. The experience is designed to be simple for the entrepreneur volunteers to implement, but highly impactful for the high school students participating.
For example, during the JA Launch Lesson workshop, students can learn how to generate business start-up ideas, create a business plan or successfully interview for a job.
The teacher stays in the classroom the entire time to help the local entrepreneurs engage students using the JA Launch Lesson Entrepreneur Guide with talking point recommendations in a simple outline format.
