Members provide in-home and virtual volunteer support to veterans and military families in our hospice programs, serving those with life-limiting illnesses and allowing caregivers to take much-needed breaks. Volunteer activities include spending time with the client, talking and sharing stories, preparing light snacks or lunches, taking walks, or other activities the client enjoys. We are looking to recruit 6 caring member volunteers who will be serving now through August 31st, 2021.

Member volunteers serve about 8 - 12 hours per week*, for a total of 450* hours by August 31st 2021 to receive the education award. *Hours may be subject to change due to COVID conditions.

During the current COVID conditions, members are practicing safety precautions per CDC guidelines to limit exposure risks, including wearing masks, keeping a distance of 6 feet or more, and completing health screenings for you and the client family before each visit.
