Position Overview: Run a weekly high school equivalency (GED) drop-in class for adults.
Responsibilities:
- Run drop in weekly group tutoring session - size will vary from 5-12 students
- Help adults study for and pass their high school equivalency (GED) exam
- Circulate and observe and check for comprehension in students
- Answer questions as needed and appropriate
- Assist students with work
- Guide and orient students to develop their own critical thinking skills, and arrive at the answer on their own
- Responsible for class sign-in, making copies as needed, help with other materials as requested

Pima College Adult Basic Education for College and Career (ABECC) Mission: We meet every adult learner where they are, honor their strengths and support them to their goals.
We offer free, non-credit high school equivalency classes, English language classes, career contextualized instruction, and citizenship preparation classes.
Volunteers are essential to fulfilling our mission and we welcome inquiries from community members who want to help the thousands of adult students we serve each year.
