PROGRAM SUMMARY:
The Cultural Arts Program is responsible for the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Renberg and Davidson/Valentini Theatres, along with the Advocate & Gochis Gallery. The theatre program produces theatre, comedy, and music events.
JOB SUMMARY:
We are producing a new show by Tony Award-winning actress Sarah Jones. The show is Sell/By/Date it begins previews on September 27 th and opens on October 14 th and runs until Thanksgiving. We need assistance with group sales to colleges, high schools, women’s groups, and theater companies.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Email show information letters to organizations and schools
- Make warm calls to organizations and schools
- Assist sales through cold-calling, networking, and relationship building with organizations and schools
- Create a list of key contact persons through cold calling and referrals
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must feel comfortable making cold calls and warm calls
- Must have a great phone presence
- Good organizational skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good relationship building skills
- An appreciation and excitement about theater is a plus
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- 2- hour orientation

The Volunteer Resources department at the Los Angeles LGBT Center aims to provide meaningful opportunities to enhance Center services and activities, and promote the community's involvement in the organization.
