General Description:

ABCD’s network of neighborhood offices are the first point of contact for many individuals and families in need of critical services. The Reception Volunteer will assist staff by answering phones and scheduling appointments for clients.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Answer office phone in a professional manner
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Follow IRS procedures for tax appointment screenings

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must possess strong oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Bilingual in a language spoken by ABCD clients (Portuguese, Haitian Creole and Arabic highly preferred)

Length of Commitment:

January 2019 - April 20, 2019

Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week

Schedule (including day and time if applicable):

Monday - Friday

9am - 5pm
