It’s that time of year again! When historic locations throughout Milwaukee open their doors for one weekend giving the public an inside look at their historic and beautiful interiors.

Doors Open Weekend is coming up on September 22-23, 2018, and the Milwaukee Public Library is looking for volunteers to help out.

The Central Library will be participating giving guests behind-the-scenes tours of the Green Roof, 4th Floor, Rotunda Dome, and Storage Tiers in addition to open viewings of the Old Board Room, Rare Books Room, and Chinese Room.

We're looking for volunteers to help with welcoming people and escorting guests to the different tour areas. Volunteer shifts are available in the morning, midday, and afternoon in 2-4 blocks on both Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23.

HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER:
Complete an Online Volunteer Application at mpl.org/about/volunteer by Monday, September 10

WHEN:
Saturday, September 22 (10:00am - 5:00)
Sunday, September 23 (12:00 - 5:00pm)
**Morning, midday, and afternoon shifts available both days

REQUIREMENTS:
- Ages 16 and older
- Friendly, outgoing personality
