San Francisco City Impact is searching for qualified volunteers for our special services program. We are currently seeking individuals who are certified Speech Therapists or enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for communicative disorders. Participants will work directly with students conducting fun and meaningful activities that will support students with their speech and language development.

Mission Statement
San Francisco City Impact’s mission is to intervene on behalf of the people of the Tenderloin which we do by serving the immediate needs of the community in these areas: Poverty, Hunger, Inner-City Children, and Community Outreach.
Description
Serving over 100,000 people annually, City Impact has provided relief programs for the Tenderloin District since 1984 - including feeding, health care, and social services. Our founder started serving the Tenderloin in response to seeing a young boy being bullied in this neighborhood. What was initially a Saturday youth program has grown into what is now City Impact. We serve as a lifeline for this community where there are very high rates of homelessness, food insecurity, poverty, addiction, and mental health issues.
We are a Christian organization that works with volunteers of many religious backgrounds and we believe that one person can make all the difference in the life of a person in need.
