Opera Philadelphia is seeking individuals to serve as Opera Philadelphia Ambassadors at performances and events during our Festival O19. Ambassadors will help in creating exceptional experiences for all Opera Philadelphia guests. Depending on capacity, Ambassadors may have the opportunity to sit in on the performances. Ambassadors will be briefed before each shift starts.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Act as a greeter welcoming guests and answering questions when necessary prior to the start of the performance, during intermission and post show
- Be safety aware and maintain the comfort and cleanliness of your assigned area
- Work in partnership with the venue staff whenever necessary
- Report feedback or inquires that require follow-up to Opera Philadelphia Staff
- Must be able to stand for 2-3 hours at a time
- Must be available to work a shift of up to 6 hours
- Must be willing to wear the Ambassador "uniform" of black bottoms and a shirt provided by Opera Philadelphia

Opera Philadelphia is committed to embracing innovation and developing opera for the 21st century. The company is charting a bold new path to September 2017, when Opera Philadelphia will open its 2017-18 season with an immersive, 12-day festival featuring seven operatic happenings in six venues throughout the city. Opera Philadelphia will continue to present a spring season each year, including two additional productions in February and April, making it the only U.S. opera company producing an annual opera season that begins with a dynamic festival. The company’s community initiatives provide agency for residents to author their own transformative journey of self-discovery through programs in schools, cultural organizations, and community centers.
