About AACI
AACI was founded in 1973, and has been providing numerous services to underserved ethnic refugee and immigrant populations for the past three decades. Focusing on the diverse Asian American community, AACI's mission is to improve the health, mental health, and well-being of individuals and their families by providing an array of human services. AACI empowers the Asian American community by working collaboratively for equality and social justice. AACI has also fostered close ties with non-Asian minority groups and advocates on behalf of many underserved communities.
AACI's diverse services include a primary care medical clinic, support for refugees and immigrants, mental health services for all ages, health education and promotion, youth services, a domestic violence shelter for women and their children, and senior services. AACI provides services in over a dozen different languages including Chinese (in several dialects), Vietnamese, Cambodian, Laotian, Lao Mien, Thai, Korean, Tagalog, Tongan and Hindi, as well as in English and Spanish.

About AACI's Senior Wellness Program
The AACI Senior Wellness Program currently serves over 250 individuals, primarily elderly Chinese each year. The Program centers not only on physical and mental health, but also on social health, to improve the overall wellness of our local Asian Pacific American seniors. Services include information and referral, case management, counseling, hot meals, ESL classes, computer technology classes, health education workshops, recreational activities, social activities and day and weekend recreational trips. Participants are equipped with the skills and resources to overcome language barriers, adjust to a new culture, cope with intergenerational changes, establish a social support network, and increase their awareness and knowledge of health and community resources.
