POSITION SUMMARY : Seeking a virtual volunteer(s) in the Dayton, Ohio area, to support all aspects of the organization’s development strategy. Implement and oversee a comprehensive plan, including grant writing, fundraising campaigns, special events, donor stewardship etc. Identify potential donors and cultivate relationships with individuals, foundations and community partners. Both junior and senior candidates will be considered. There is potential for this role to develop into a paid position.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience with websites, social media, email and print campaigns preferred.
Knowledge of basic nonprofit fund development techniques and strategies.
Ability to successfully design and implement donor cultivation, solicitation and retention strategies.
Experience in grant writing and communicating the organization's needs to drive the short-term and long-term financial development goals.
Prefer addiction, mental health, and/or faith knowledge or experience, either personally or professionally.
DUTIES : The position is flexible and could include any or all of the following, depending on interests, experience and availability:
- Build and maintain congenial professional relationships with sponsors and supporters and to communicate effectively when representing the organization in all business development and donor cultivation activities. - Identify, solicit and cultivate individual donors and businesses/corporations to secure monetary and in-kind sponsorships and donations. - Coordinate fundraising and cultivation events. - Oversee logistics, timelines and other operational elements for fundraising campaigns. - Coordinate sponsorships and in-kind donations and build relationships with community stakeholders to advance the mission of the organization. - Oversee development and printing of all direct mail and event-related campaigns including brochures, invitations, posters, ads, newsletters, etc.
- Participate in Mission Addiction activities, meetings, and/or leadership meetings to understand the mission and personnel needs.
