Volunteers, a precious resource we cannot afford to lose (Terre Haute)
- A group opportunity. Invite your friends.
Make a real difference in someone's life!
Elara Caring is looking for compassionate volunteers willing to donate their time to provide exceptional end-of-life care to local hospice patients and their families.
If you are compassionate and enjoy photography, you could become a Photography Volunteer. Volunteers might be asked to attend special events, such as Veteran Pinnings to photograph the patients in attendance. Families of a patient might request that a volunteer capture a portrait of their loved one. We also host an event called Holding Hands, where we photograph patients holding hands of their loved ones. The photograph is then given to the family as a memento.
Hours are very flexible, weekdays, evening or weekends. Typically we ask that you visit your assigned patient 1-2 hours per week or offer 1-2 hours per week or work in the office.
