Make Lunch for the FCC Homeless Shelter guests - weekly opportunity

ORGANIZATION: Agate Housing and Services

Feeding people is a way to show love. Feeding those who might go hungry is the ultimate act of love. Make at least 50 sandwiches to serve for lunch to the shelter residents at our couples shelter.

If you can provide sandwiches regularly -- once a month?!? -- please do!

This is an in-kind donation and potential group activity, you supply the food and organize the sandwich making itself. Gather your family, friends, faith group, book club, neighbors, or other group to make sandwiches.

This is an ongoing opportunity through 2026, as long as this posting is up!

Mission Statement

To end homelessness and relieve hunger through action and advocacy.

Description

Join us to end homelessness through action and advocacy! At Agate, we know that the path to homelessness is not a choice - it’s a challenge. When someone asks for help, they’re not just receiving shelter or housing. They’re entering a safe and supportive community where we work side-by-side for the change they need to stabilize their lives and rediscover their strength. Here, they don’t just survive; they rebuild. Volunteers are an important part of our work - join us!
