ORGANIZATION: Junior Achievement of Northern California

A Junior Achievement Day at Argonne Elementary School. Volunteers will teach 5, 45 minute lessons in one day. The curriculum is on financial literacy, workplace readiness and entrepreneurship. Volunteers may teach a class individually or paired with a colleague to "Team Teach" on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

Argonne Elementary is a Public School in the San Francisco Unified School District and serves students in K-5th Grade. School Demographics overview: 12% Hispanic, 1% Black, 31% Asian, 32% White, 25% English Language Learners and 30% Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program.

Volunteers arrive and check in at the school office at 8:15 AM. Instruction will begin shortly after the bell at 8:30 AM. All Volunteers will need to complete a one hour training and a Volunteer Registration Form prior to the JA Day. The training time will be sent to you by Ruby Damian or your workplace volunteer coordinator.

JA program materials will be provided during the training so that you have time to prepare.
