One in 5 people is affected by serious mental illness in the US in any given year. NAMI is the nation's largest grass roots organization comprised of mostly volunteers. We are Charitable Magazine's choice for one of 100 top organizations most likely to change the world. And we're doing just that! We offer free education classes, support groups, and resources to families in crisis. Our volunteers reach out to the community to let them know we're here to help. We do interviews and radio shows. We advocate for better systems of care for people with mental health conditions. We eliminate stigma!

NAMI-SFV needs an energetic Recruitment Administrative Manager who is focused, highly organized and able to lead a volunteer workforce with kindness, enthusiasm and patience. If you have office management, executive assistant or supervisory experience, we want to talk you. Our mission is extraordinarily timely and it all starts with the volunteer. Here's what you'll be thoroughly trained to do and to lead the administrative staff to do:

1. Make return calls and/or send standard response email to people already interested in volunteering to welcome them to our community
2. Prepare pre-recruitment packages so recruiters are prepared to talk to our volunteers about their specific interests and background.
3. Perform pos-recruitment follow-up to give accesses and permissions to new volunteers
4. Add pertinent volunteer information to our database
5. Send potential volunteers an application to complete and return electronically
6. Ensure volunteers receive an invitation to our onboarding process
7. Obtain email and database credentials for applicable volunteers
8. Maintain organized "virtual filing cabinet" on Google Drive
9. Send congratulatory email to volunteers who complete training
10. Promote our community-centric culture by exemplifying it (Kindness, Authenticity, Creativity, Diversity & Transparency)

We're looking for a great leader, self-starter and critical thinker. In addition to what's above, you work well with people and can train others to do their jobs well. You are a committed professional and have the time to donate to a truly worthy cause.
