Volunteer in your community to create or to add to a PeaceMaker Minnesota fund benefiting bullying prevention, conflict resolution and peacemaking education in your area.

You can develop a permanent resource that provides sustainable funding for education that is important to you in schools that you care about.

You don't have to raise millions of dollars to start a fund, just $3,000. Once the fund reaches $20,000 in value it can begin making yearly payouts to support the violence prevention efforts of PeaceMaker Minnesota partner schools.

You can create a fund for a school district serving schools that are important to you.

Below is a listing of funds currently being developed to provide on-going funding to schools to help them purchase curriculum, train staff and students, bring in outside speakers, to measure results, to help at-risk youth, to bring in speakers, etc.

Catholic Schools Endowment Fund

Dayton Area Endowment Fund

Lake Park Audubon High School Endowment Fund

Mounds View School District Endowment Fund

North St. Paul - Maplewood - Oakdale School District Endowment Fund

PeaceMaker Minnesota Endowment Fund

South St. Paul Public Schools Endowment Fund

Developing support in your community for peacemaking education is not complicated. You just need to be assertive. PeaceMaker Minnesota can help you develop a list of likely donors, supply you with information and templates for making your requests.

Consider forming a Thrivent Action team to receive funding to help you organize an event like a house party, card party, bike ride, bowl-a-thon, etc.

Form a Give to the Max Day on-line fundraising team. Join the PeaceMaker Minnesota Candle Lighter campaign by recruiting Team Leaders who commit to donating $10 or more on a specific day in November and to recruiting five other people to join them.

Participate in PeaceMaker Minnesota's annual bike-ride fundraiser. Form a team of riders who solicit tax-deductible contributions for the endowment fund you are building.

You can develop a resource that will support violence prevention education in your community for generations. Your legacy can be helping more kids learn to be peacemakers. Imagine what the future would look like if more people treated each other with kindness and resolved differences without hurting one another.

YOUR help is needed for making that future possible.
