Invite a friend and volunteer at our 10th Annual A Gathering of Good benefit for MFS! Please join in the fun. We would love to see you there.
A Gathering of Good attracts 350 business people, partners, philanthropists and community members who value and want to be part of life transforming work in the Portland area. We couldn’t do this without awesome volunteers who set the stage for success! Free parking, delicious food and great company are provided. AND, by volunteering, you are invited to the after party on the patio featuring Latin band Conjunto Alegre and ice cream courtesy of Ruby Jewel.
Metropolitan Family Service has been a part of Portland for 68 years!! Our programs in hunger relief, education, older adult services, economic empowerment, and other community services help people move beyond the limitations of poverty, inequity and social isolation. Proceeds from A Gathering of Good are in the form of a direct cash benefit to support MFS programs for more than 12,000 children and families each year.
This event will open with mystery boxes to bid on, offer a family style dinner, inspiring success stories, and wrap up with a fun dance party. It’ll be a celebration from start to finish!

Description
Metropolitan Family Service (MFS) volunteers serve in various capacities, depending on their areas of interest and abilities. Volunteers participate in on-going opportunities in one of three focus areas: helping children succeed, strengthening families and their connections to the community, and helping older adults and persons with disabilities live independently. We create opportunities that bridge generations and inspire everyone to live their best life.
