During these uncertain times, how can we help?

Therapy dogs visits are an excellent way to connect with some of Allay's hospice patients. They have a special way of showing unconditional love & affection that can lift one's spirit no matter the circumstances. They bring joy by encouraging social interaction and they can be a remarkable source of comfort and companionship, as well as a welcome distraction from the daily routine for both hospice patients and their families.
While many animals provide love and companionship in the home, not all of them have the temperament suited for this type of service. We require that all Therapy Dog Teams must complete training & assessment through a recognized Animal-Assisted Therapy program before visiting hospice patients. (The human-half of the team will also receive additional training related to hospice visitation.)
**At this time, in-person visits are on hold due to the pandemic, however we anticipate there will be a great need for trained therapy dogs once Covid-19 restrictions are lifted. Get more information and consider training your dog NOW so you will be ready when needed.

Allay Hospice consistently strives to provide the best, most compassionate care that can be experienced through the last phase of life's journey. Our goal is to ensure that those with a life-limiting illness live each day to the fullest in comfort and dignity. At Allay, we are committed to taking care of our patients and families as we would our own.
Hospice is not a place, but a special way of caring that promotes one's quality of life and death with dignity. When medicine cannot provide a cure, Allay Hospice offers patients and their families the comfort, compassion and assistance necessary to maintain the best possible quality of life.
Allay is a locally owned hospice with offices in Brookfield, Jackson & Waterford to serve all communities of Southeastern Wisconsin.
*Our volunteers work side by side with Allay's experienced hospice team in providing comfort and care when it is needed most. For all of our volunteer opportunities, the amount of time you give is flexible and assignments are based on your availability and location; we do our best to assign volunteers within or near their own community.
We'll work with your schedule.
