Do you want to play a role in making the country no-kill by 2025? Best Friends Animal Society is looking for volunteers to help with a State Animal Welfare Summit happening in Macon, GA on August 30. This summit brings together local animal welfare leaders who are playing an integral part in nationwide efforts to save homeless pets. At this summit, leaders will review the status of lifesaving in your region and across the nation, and come up with collaborative plans to help push the no-kill movement forward.
We are looking to fill the following volunteer positions for this event:
- Summit Transcriber
- 8:30 am - 5 pm (two volunteers may choose to split the shift and work 8:30am-1pm or 12:45pm - 5pm)
- Take thorough notes for the duration of the event on your own laptop
- Compile notes from each table within two weeks after the event
- A vegan lunch will be provided at no cost for the volunteer who works the entire shift or the volunteer who works the 8:30am - 1pm shift
- Registration volunteer (one volunteer needed)
- 7:30am - 9:30am
- Help lead registration/check in for the meeting attendees
