Would you like to make a meaningful difference in the lives of elderly residents of nursing and assisted living facilities? Are you empathetic, diplomatic and assertive, with good communication skills? You may have found the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! Become a Long-term Care Ombudsman volunteer and advocate for the rights of older adults living in facilities.

Volunteer ombudsmen visit local nursing or assisted living facilities during weekdays, 4 hours/week (for a minimum of 1 year). They work to protect resident rights and help to resolve problems. Volunteers receive ongoing training and support. Please consider this important and enriching endeavor.
