ORGANIZATION: LINC Housing

Illinois Avenue is an affordable housing community for veterans! While many veterans will be transitioning into their new homes, LINC Housing is looking for corporations, companies, or organizations that would like to get involved with our veteran residents. This is an opportunity to feel good about giving back to your community and engage with veteran residents!

LINC Housing is looking for a group of 1-4 volunteers from an organization or corporation to help by providing a workshop, activity, or presentation for our residents. LINC can provide many ideas or your team can provide an idea for this opportunity. Some workshops, activities, or presentations that were provided at other properties:

  • Financial Literacy
  • Computer Class (IT experience, computer savvy)
  • Art workshop (Art company or organization)
  • Help with community garden (Maintaining or planting)
LINC is looking for companies or organizations that can provide one-time opportunities or once a month opportunities (rotating topics each time) for our residents. Have fun while supporting your community!

Description

Linc Housing builds, owns, and operates affordable housing for low-income families and seniors throughout California. Our resident services department provides life-enhancing services to residents. Our staff members teach and collaborate with nearby agencies to facilitate classes and activities that cover health, exercise, financial literacy, after-school care, ESL, computer skills, crafts, volunteer opportunities, social events, and field trips to experience science, nature, and the arts.
