Indian Rock Pond

The Facilities and Habitat Crew meets every Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Indian Rock Nature Preserve, (weather permitting). Staff will lead a variety of projects around the preserve including wood splitting and stacking, painting, general beautification projects, litter removal, trail maintenance, special event set-up, and more. If interested, fill out a Volunteer Application via our website at www.elcct.org and navigate to the "Get Involved" section.

Weekly commitment is not necessary.

Description

Environmental Learning Center of Connecticut, ELCCT, offers a diversity of hands-on experiential programs using a variety of resources and facilities. Our programs are offered at the Barnes Nature Center, Indian Rock Nature Preserve and in the schools of Connecticut. We annually provided our environmental educational programs to over 25,000 children and families from over 70 Connecticut communities! In addition to our education programs, ELCCT also serves as a land trust and has protected over 750 acres of land in Bristol and Burlington, Connecticut. We encourage you to get involved.
