ORGANIZATION: Alzheimer's Association, Colorado Chapter

Join our small, friendly team as our office coordinator (admin rockstar)! We're looking for someone with good customer service skills and basic computer knowledge to help out.

We have a variety of tasks, and this role can include the tasks that match your interests:

  • Set up education classes, physician outreach appointments, and speaking engagement for the Regional Director
  • Mail out information
  • Make outreach calls to clients
  • Order supplies
  • Data entry
If you're interested, we can also train you to lead support groups or teach classes that use our curricula.

Days are flexible, and we can work with your schedule on the number of hours.

Mission Statement

We lead Colorado in the fight against Alzheimer's disease and related disorders by increasing the understanding of dementia and its impact on family and community, providing information and support for those affected, and promoting the advancement of research.

Description

The Alzheimer's Association Colorado Chapter works with diagnosed individuals, families, caregivers and health care professionals to provide care and support for those who are affected by Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. We provide a 24/7 Helpline; offer free and confidentail Care Consultations; manage 90 support groups monthly; oversee Memories in the Making art program in area nursing homes; present educational programs across the state; and assist in enrolling persons with the disease in safety programs. We offer culturally approptiate support for Latinos, African Americans and the LGBT community. Several time during the year we have fundraising events, including: The Walk to END Alzheimer's, The Longest Day, the Memories in the Making Gala and Riv/ALZ.
