The Research & Communications intern will gain experience in planning and preparing communications for the recognition and celebration of Catholic Charities’ 100 thAnniversary (1920-2020). Experience may include identifying key historical points, people, and social concerns by researching documents that outline the history of Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee; and creating content for use in social media, website, publications, or video. The intern will receive a unique experience by being involved in our Rebranding Campaign.
Essential Functions
- Assist with planning communications to recognize and celebrate 100 years (1920-2020) of Catholic Charities
- Research documents, pictures or other artifacts outlining the history of Catholic Charities
- Assist in creating a communications plan and content for social media, website, print or video to share key historical points with our donors, partners and the public
- Adhere to, and complete all internship and practicum requirements as prescribed by the intern’s educational institution.
- Record internship hours by method agreed upon with the Volunteer Coordinator
Education and/or Experience
- Junior Status, pursuing a degree in History, Public Relations, Communications, Community Engagement, Writing, or a related field
- Prior experience with communications, or professional writing, digital media; prior internship experience is a plus
- Has an interest in working for or learning more about Non-Profits
