VOLUNTEER WITH THE MCMINNVILLE AREA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
Job Title: Paint Shaker
Purpose: Our mission is to bring people together to build homes, community, and hope. The Paint Shaker helps the ReStore by ensuring that we sell quality paint and moving paint from donations to the sales floor. ReStore sales provide funds to help our Habitat families build their homes.
Location: Habitat ReStore, 1040 SE 1 st St, McMinnville, OR 97128
Suggested Activities: The Paint Shaker will identify good paint, shake it up, and label it
Qualifications: Ability to lift and move 5 gallon buckets of paint (~40 pounds), positive attitude, and willingness to learn. Volunteer must be at least 16 years old.
Time Commitment: One 4 hour shift per week
Working Conditions: The Paint Shaker will work in the receiving room, there is no temperature control in the room. Heavy lifting is required. Seating is available, but most of shift will be standing.
Volunteer Supervisor: Receiving Room Attendant, Dave Connor
Training Offered: Paint Shakers will be trained in how to use the paint shaking equipment.

This the McMinnville Area Habitat for Humanity partners with low-income families and volunteers to build safe, decent, and affordable homes in our community. Our service area includes McMinnville, Amity, Sheridan, Willamina, Yamhill, Carlton, and Lafayette. A portion of funding for our building projects comes directly from our Re-Store, a commercial enterprise selling donated, gently used home goods.
