VOLUNTEER WITH THE MCMINNVILLE AREA HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

Job Title: Receiving Room Clerk

Purpose: Our mission is to bring people together to build homes, community, and hope. The Receiving Room Clerk helps the ReStore by assisting with processing donations. ReStore sales provide funds to help our Habitat families build their homes.

Location: Habitat ReStore, 1040 SE 1 st St, McMinnville, OR 97128

Suggested Activities: The Receiving Room Clerk will fill out donation receipts for donors and log the donations to help MacHabitat track donations received. They will also test electronic devices to ensure proper functioning. The clerk may also help with pricing small items that can be brought to their desk.

Qualifications: Good penmanship, positive attitude, willingness to learn, and excellent organizational skills. Volunteer must be at least 16 years old.

Time Commitment: Ideally an 8 hour shift (9-5), but half days are available.

Working Conditions: The Receiving Clerk will work at a desk, they will be seated most of their shift. The desk is in a room with no temperature control, but an area heater can be provided. No heavy lifting required.

Volunteer Supervisor: Receiving Room Attendant, Dave Connor

Training Offered: Clerks will be trained in how to fill out the donation receipts and how to log donations.
