Looking for a fun bike related way to help your community this summer? Look no further! We are starting our Fresh Food Connect program next month (June)! www.Freshfoodconnect.org During the summer our gardening neighbors will be asked weekly if they have any produce to donate. In the event they do, one of our volunteers (could be YOU) will bike by their house at a scheduled time to collect their excess veggies and fruits and bring them back to our of community-led grocery distribution programs. We have connected with a few youth programs for most of our zip codes, but we still need some dedicated bikers or groups to cover a few others!
Kids welcome with adult supervision!

About Food to Power
Location:
917 E Moreno Ave, 130, Colorado Springs, CO 80903, US
Mission Statement
Food to Power is a non-profit organization whose goal is to create a more just and less wasteful food system. We facilitate the sustainable redistribution of food "waste" to agencies that feed hungry, homeless, and low-income populations while educating communities about and advocating for food justice and the reduction of structural poverty.
Description
Food to Power functions through a volunteer based direct redistribution programming, picking up food that would otherwise be thrown out and delivering that food directly to an organization that will disperse that food to those in need. These volunteers mainly deliver the food by bicycle.
