The AmeriCorps Senior RSVP Program is looking for volunteers to read to kindergarteners of Title I schools in Polk County for an hour or two a week. Reading is the foundation for learning. Developing strong skills in reading is the key to successfully progressing through the education process.
The Retired Senior Volunteer Program, also known as RSVP, is one of the largest volunteer networks in the nation for people 55 and over. RSVP Polk is an AmeriCorps Senior Program sponsored locally by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service.
