Dinner: Harvest Homecoming Awards Dinner/Discussion/Artist Volunteers Needed
We are seeking volunteers to help at the 2nd Annual October 31, 2020 Harvest Homecoming Awards Dinner & Discussion (event will be held in the Hill District). Social distancing safety protocol will be encouraged. Volunteers will be needed to do the following: 1. assist with awards activities for veterans and neighbors, 2. general set up of event stage, tables, chairs, 3. assist with clean up, 4. assist with break down of event, 5. assist with decorating tables.
This Fall Season event (SPECIAL EDITION THEME: "HELPING ONE ANOTHER"), Harvest Homecoming dinner and discussion on building sustainable green communities, gardening/agriculture, supporting healthy food access and services for seniors, veterans, families and individuals in need across the Pittsburgh, Allegheny County region. COVID-19 has disrupted many lives socially and economically. We will come together to celebrate and reflect on our work over the past year, and build up resources to support accessible, healthy food and essential services for those we serve.is being held to support affordable housing and services for seniors, Veterans, families and individuals in need across the Pittsburgh, Allegheny County region. There will be 4 open panel discussions followed by networking opportunities.
We will come together to celebrate and reflect on work over the past year, as well as share our Green S.E.N.S.E. initiative involving new Workforce Development and entrepreneurship opportunities, healthy housing and other essential services for those being served in the community.
Your volunteer participation can make an impact! Public planning meetings for this event will be tentatively held every first Saturday of each month virtually on ZOOM. Meeting Dates will be tentatively held on the following dates:

Project LOVE Coalition exists to help homeless veterans and formerly homeless veterans. PLC's mission is to empower veterans to restore love, pride, and purpose in neighborhoods through STEAM based beautification projects, urban redevelopment, new workforce & economic initiatives, and housing.
Description
Project LOVE Coalition (PLC) is a grassroots Alliance/Advocacy/Service non-profit organization helping homeless veterans and formerly homeless veterans. We encourage diverse community partnerships as we are dedicated to the universal spread of love/peace.
It is our hope in Project LOVE Coalition that people will come together and join hands and hearts to improve the quality of life for veterans who have served our country. Solutions to these problems are achievable but will take the collective effort of all people or groups committed to bringing about better conditions for people facing serious crisis. Project LOVE Coalition aims to bring veterans and residents together to identify and implement sustainable solutions to build a more inclusive and diverse community that affords homeless veterans housing options and job training.
