Live in the Clermont area? Volunteer at the Special Olympics Florida State Headquarters! Special Olympics Florida, located at the USA Training Campus in Clermont, is looking for people who can volunteer on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
Volunteers are needed to help with event planning for a variety of fundraising events. Good communication skills and/or basic computer knowledge would be helpful.

"The mission of Special Olympics Florida (SOFL) is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, who wish to participate, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
Description
Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
