ORGANIZATION: Seabury Resources for Aging

The Graphic Design Volunteer will design content for marketing, branding, and the internet and will conceptualize, design, and create mock-ups from small enhancements to entirely new designs. Projects will range from designing social media graphics to participating in large projects to market Seabury Resources for Aging events. This position helps to extend the resources of Seabury Resources for Aging in order to better assist and meet the needs of our members and the families that we serve.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Design clear, engaging graphic communications for print and the web. This will may include logos, direct mail pieces, branded promotional items, website and social media graphics, posters, flyers, and other marketing materials as needed. * Work closely with the Development staff to translate messaging concepts into marketing materials. * Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and Photoshop. Familiarity with Mac platform is a plus. * Be self-directed and willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented *Flexible Scheduling* Respect and maintain confidentiality of Seabury Resources for Aging volunteers, families, and donors. * Position is initially unpaid but after completion of an introductory period we may be able to apply to cover a modest stipend * Build your portfolio of work

Seabury Resources for Aging provides free or affordable support in multiple ways for older adults and their families who are undergoing unfamiliar life transitions. We offer:

  • Seabury Senior Living Communities: Friendship Terrace, Springvale Terrace, and Home First(r) Residences
  • Care Management: provides counsel and professional guidance to older adults and their families
  • Ward 5 and Ward 6 Lead Agency Services: plans and delivers direct services to older adults and their caregivers living in Washington DC's Ward 5 and Ward 6
  • Age-In-Place(r): utilizes volunteers for free yard maintenance and clean up projects to help older adults stay in their homes
  • Congregational Resources provides resources and support for congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and United Church of Christ Potomac Association
