Sometimes, a person living with HIV might need additional support, and TIHAN can provide a CareTeam to help. This group of 2 to 4 volunteers work together and take turns offering practical, emotional/social, non-medical support to a person living with HIV. If you’d like to help with friendly visits, running errands, providing occasional rides to doctor’s appointments, and social support, it could make a real difference to someone in need. (Note: we don’t provide personal care, nursing care, medications, or therapy-that’s for the professionals to provide.) Our CareTeam volunteers form a supportive and compassionate team and provide support to one person, with a commitment of three months. We provide you with training and support so you can serve. For more information about getting involved as a CareTeam volunteer for TIHAN, contact our Volunteer Coordinator, at (520) 299-6647 ext 206 or volunteercoordinator@tihan.org . Please also add VolunteerCoordinator@tihan.org so that responses from us do not go to your spam/junk folder.
