Special Olympics Florida Marion County has a variety of opportunities for Sports Volunteers to help with swimming, flag football and bowling. Sports volunteers assist at practices with the athletes and can also serve as assistant coaches.

Swimming:

Swimming season will begin Saturday June 23rd and go thru September 29th.

Practice Times: Saturdays from 8:30am to 10:30am

Description

Special Olympics Florida provides sports training and Olympic-style competition to more than 60,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities throughout the state. Special Olympics Florida is a Level I Accredited Program (highest level of accreditation granted by SOI) and is divided into 11 area programs, which cover over 55 counties.
