Youth-Friendly Volunteers Needed to Help Teens Get Ready for Summer Jobs!
Step Up Work Readiness Training workshops prepare over 600 youth for summer jobs with nonprofits. PPL’s Education department offers training in partnership with the City of Minneapolis, Achieve, and Minneapolis College. Students learn about and practice activities related to professionalism and communication.
- Where: Minneapolis College (main campus)
- When: Saturday, 3/30, 2:30-4 pm
- What: Work with our staff to ensure sessions go smoothly and support professional employment opportunities for youth.
- Role: Afternoon Volunteer (8 needed each day)
Afternoon Volunteer: Accompany youth from classrooms to parent pickup sites and assist teachers as needed. Volunteers should enjoy young people and be willing to serve as a friendly adult who can also redirect teens as needed so that the end of the day flows smoothly and efficiently.
