We need volunteers to help the Lands Council save trees that have been planted in the previous seasons. This includes helping us plant, water, mulch, and maintain our planting sites along the Spokane, Little Spokane, and Hangman/Latah Creek watersheds. We meet at the Lands Council or on site.

Once you sign up for a shift you will be contacted by our outreach coordinator Jeff Johnson (jjohnson@landscouncil.org).

Mission Statement

At the Land's Council, we preserve and revitalize Inland Northwest forests, water, and wildlife through advocacy, education, effective action, and community engagement. As a group we're energized by the recreational opportunities it affords. At the Land's Council we're inspired to preserve its legacy for future generations.

Description

Volunteers are the backbone of all grassroots activism. When you volunteer, you play a vital role in making lasting change and improving conditions for the future. And, whether you want to meet new people or learn more about environmental concerns facing your area, volunteering with The Lands Council is a great place to begin. Getting involved can also be a great way to build career skills, gain experience, and invest in a worthy cause. No matter what your skill level, we can use your help. Our volunteer opportunities include work with conservation-related events, as well as community outreach and office assistance, including bulk mailing preparation, tabling and outreach, special events, and more.
