Spittoono is an annual music festival held in Clemson, South Carolina and organized by a local non-profit group that selects charities to benefit from the profits of the event. Pickens County Meals on Wheels has been selected to be a benefactor of the event. The amount of proceeds will be determined by the amount of volunteer hours served during the event. There will be a wide range of volunteer opportunities and PCMOW is in search of folks who don't mind volunteering during a fantastic show of musicians. We are very excited to be able to participate in this event and would love to have your support!

Pickens County Meals on Wheels exists to combat the effects of hunger, loneliness and isolation on those living in Pickens County, and to provide a lifeline through the use of caring volunteers.
Description
Pickens County Meals on Wheels delivers a hot, fresh noontime meal to our elderly neighbors who are struggling to maintain their independence. Meals are prepared at the McKissick Center for Senior Wellness, headquarters for Pickens County Meals on Wheels. Volunteers assist with the preparation of the meals as well as delivery. The meals are collected by volunteer drivers for immediate delivery to seniors who cannot provide a hot meal for themselves and are alone or isolated. Volunteer drivers run 22 routes throughout the county, Monday through Friday, that inclulde the Easley, Dacusville, Pickens, Six Mile, Norris, Central and Liberty areas.
In addition, Pickens County Meals on Wheels operates a senior activity center, Monday-Friday, from 8:30AM-2:30 PM. The center is located at the McKissick Center for Senior Wellness at 349 Edgemont Avenue, Liberty, SC. Volunteers assist with activities at the senior center.
Pickens County Meals on Wheels is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, charitable organization funded completely by donations from churches, church organizations, individuals, civic groups, businesses, and United Way.
