Mission Statement

Pickens County Meals on Wheels exists to combat the effects of hunger, loneliness and isolation on those living in Pickens County, and to provide a lifeline through the use of caring volunteers.

Description

Pickens County Meals on Wheels delivers a hot, fresh noontime meal to our elderly neighbors who are struggling to maintain their independence. Meals are prepared at two area hospitals and one local restaurant. The meals are collected by volunteer drivers for immediate delivery to seniors who cannot provide a hot meal for themselves and are alone or isolated. Volunteer drivers run 22 routes throughout the county, Monday through Friday, that inclulde the Easley, Dacusville, Pickens, Six Mile, Norris, Central and Liberty areas. We are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit, charitable organization funded completely by donations from churches, church organizations, individuals, civic groups, businesses, and United Way.
