Although we always need volunteers who can rescue sick and injured birds, we also often need volunteers to simply transport birds from one point to another.
Transport volunteers will have the responsibility of transporting birds to and from Save Our Seabirds that will have already been handled and placed in a bird carrier.
Requirements for this position include having access to reliable transportation and GPS, in addition to having a flexible schedule, as this is an on-call volunteer opportunity. Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.
In search of transporters living on Siesta Key and in Lakewood Ranch!

Mission Statement

We receive about 4,000 bird rescue calls per year. Sick and injured birds are brought into our Avian Hospital, where we try to rehabilitate and release every one.
