Become a Wild Bird Rescuer! We will train you!

We receive about 5,000 calls per year, reporting sick and injured birds throughout Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Birds are rescued and brought into our avian hospital, where we try to rehabilitate and release every one. Birds that are not releasable are given permanent homes in our Wild Bird Learning Center.

Volunteers must have flexible availability, as this is an on-call opportunity. In addition to having access to reliable transportation and GPS, all volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

In search of rescuers living on Sarasota, Bradenton, Myakka and in Lakewood Ranch!
