ORGANIZATION: The Trustees of Reservations

Opportunity Overview

The Trustees is looking for an enthusiastic person to work with visitors during the upcoming Notch Brewing Biergarten at Weir River Farm. This is a hands-on opportunity that will allow volunteers to connect deeply with the community and the property, while also developing skills around event planning and hosting. Successful volunteers are friendly, enthusiastic, willing to learn on the job, reliable, and good representatives of the Trustees. Multiple shifts are available Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13.

Note: Ideal candidate must be over 21 (beverage alcohol will be served).

Responsibilities

  • Provide an excellent experience for members, visitors, and their families
  • Greet and direct visitors
  • Work independently or together with other volunteers and staff
  • Educate visitors about The Trustees and Weir River Farm
  • Additional responsibilities will vary but may include staffing craft table, wayfinding, and providing additional guest information

Qualifications

  • Interest in talking to and working with the public
  • Flexible and able to adapt to the various changes in event operations
  • Friendly and polite demeanor
  • Comfort in citing rules for games and activities
  • Ability to walk on a variety of surfaces including grass or uneven surfaces

Time Commitment

Multiple shifts available.

Saturday, October 12 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Saturday, October 12 4:15 pm - 7:30 pm

Sunday, October 13 12:30 am - 3:30 pm

Sunday, October 13 3:15 pm - 6:30 pm
