Foster a dog in need

We need volunteers who can provide a temporary home to a dog in need. Dogs need fosters for a variety of reasons. You may be asked to foster a dog who:

• Needs extra care to recover from an illness or injury
• Is frightened by living in the shelter and need a quiet place to live until they're adopted - or -
• Needs some training to improve their chances of adoption

Adult only, pet free homes are highly desirable! (We also need foster homes where there's already a good natured dog in the home to help some of our shyer dogs.)

Fostering makes a huge difference in the life of a dog, helping to improve their health and well-being, show at their best, and give them the very best chance of finding a happy home.

Baypath Humane covers the cost of any medical care through our vet, and can provide leashes, bedding, a crate, and more.

Fostering experience isn't required, although dog experience is ideal.

Experience with positive training and/or having a fenced yard are a huge bonus!
