Mission Statement

Baypath Humane Society of Hopkinton is dedicated to providing shelter, care, humane treatment, and loving homes for stray or unwanted companion animals. We serve our community by fostering relationships, educating and making a positive impact on pet overpopulation.

Baypath’s volunteers are the heart of our organization. Baypath provides shelter for dogs and cats 365 days a year. Our staff and volunteers work together, forming a vital team that is essential to carrying out a critical part of our mission: "...to establish and maintain an animal shelter and associated procedures which promote the health, care and adoption of these animals."

Baypath is an energetic, caring organization who goes the extra mile for their cats and dogs. I've volunteered as a foster for kittens and cats and as animal transport during the last four years. They're extremely supportive, giving you the information and assistance you need to be a good foster. They send you documents with instructions and are available by phone or at the shelter. It's very rewarding to be part of their foster program.

I have volunteered in various roles, including walking dogs, helping out at Baypath Humane Society events, and helping with social media. It is a wonderful organization with dedicated staff and volunteers. They also have a behaviorist and animal programs director who work with staff and volunteers to help improve the quality of life of the animals in their care. I believe strongly in the work they do, and love my time as a volunteer.
