ORGANIZATION: Growing Home,Inc.

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Supported by volunteers and community partners, Growing Home’s Canopy Temporary Housing Program provides families with children up to ninety days of temporary housing. The Canopy program has been supporting families since 1998 and uses the Family Promise Model by maintaining a network of partner organizations with appropriate space to house up to 4 families for a week at a time up to ninety days. During their time in the program, host organizations provide volunteers who provide families with meals and overnight support while they work with Growing Home staff to locate suitable permanent housing and address other barriers to self-sufficiency.

We are in need of volunteers with access to trucks and/or trailors to help move and transport beds on Sunday mornings from one host site to the next. Please contact Iris Abraham if you are interested in volunteering.
