Mission Statement

Growing Home transforms lives by Nurturing Children, Strengthening Families, and Creating Community.

Growing Home is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization serving children and families in the North Metro Denver community.

We serve 4,500 families per year - more than 16,000 individuals - with the education and supportive services they need to break the destructive cycle of multi-generational poverty.

Growing Home transforms lives by Nurturing Children, Strengthening Families, and Creating Community.

Nurturing Children: Growing Home provides families with a pipeline of programs to nurture early development and prepare children for a lifetime of success. Programs are guided by current research and trends in early childhood development and are offered in both English and Spanish. Programs Include:

Parents as Teachers (PAT)

Incredible years Parent Group

Cradling Literacy Program

After School Tutoring

Literacy Passport

Seedlings Parent Institute

Strengthening Families: Participants receive wrap-around support through Growing Home’s Strengthening Families programs. Growing Home’s Strengthening Families programs help parents keep their families stable, resilient and healthy. Programs include:

Interfaith Shelter

Homeless Prevention

Affordable and Transitional Housing

Feeding Families Food Pantry

Nutrition Education

Life Skills Classes

Healthcare through our Pop-Up Medical Clinic

Creating Community: Together, with the help of many community partners, Growing Home is changing the futures for children and their parents in the Tennyson Knolls Elementary neighborhood in Southwest Adams County.

What is Blocks of Hope? Blocks of Hope is a community partnership focused on changing the odds for kids in our community. Growing Home is partnering with Tennyson Knolls Elementary School a Title 1 public school in Arvada, Colorado, and more than 15 community partners to transform an entire community into a high-achieving, college-bound neighborhood. Blocks of Hope provides families with a rich pipeline of services and events where they can learn, grow, and get connected to the people and programs that will help them succeed.
