Description:
The volunteer will provide administrative support to the Human Resources/Volunteer Department in order for staff members to serve a higher number of clients, share the workload and focus their time on other immediate tasks.

Time Commitment:
The volunteer can start anytime. He/she needs to make a minimum four-month commitment. Hours are flexible. All work will be done during the work week from 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Number of hours 6-8 per week.

Key Responsibilities:
Email communications with volunteers/interns
Posting volunteer opportunities on recruitment sites
Updating forms and paperwork
Maintaining database
Data entry
File management
Copying
Making new hire packets
Faxing
Other office tasks

Qualifications:
Organizational skills
Ability to keep detailed accurate records
Proficiency in keyboard skills
Ability to use standard office machines
Detail-orientation
Excellent knowledge of English language including proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Training and Support:
Will receive support, supervision and guidance from Volunteer Engagement Coordinator.

Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be cleared through TB test, drug screen, background check
Must have reliable transportation
Will be asked to provide references

Note that our offices are moving to a nearby location at the start of October. While volunteer work may start at the Aero address above, there will be a change. New address will be : 4775 Viewridge Avenue, San Diego, CA 92123 (3 miles from our present location).
