If you are "a people person," we have many Hospice patients that just want someone to sit by their side. Someone that will listen to their stories, read to them, or watch tv together. We provide these services in a patient's home or nursing homes.
If you're more comfortable with administrative tasks, we also need help with sending out mailings, making phone calls, or helping with Hospice publications.
- Provide companionship
- Read to patients
- Provide families with a break (respite)
- Help with light house keeping
- Run errands for families
- Send out mailings
- Help with meal preparation

Mission Statement
The Mission of OSF HealthCare is to serve persons with the greatest care and love in a community that celebrates the gift of life.
Description
We are currently a group of 32 volunteers with unique talents, interests, and goals. Together we provided 3,424 volunteer hours, last year, to Hospice patients/families that needed our help. We read to patients, helped clean their homes, ran errands, provided check in calls, and sent out Hospice mailings.
It's important we take care of ourselves too though! So we have fun and informative meetings. Here are some of our past meetings: learning to salsa dance, movie night, massage techniques, and how to have meaningful visits with Hospice patients.
