The Biggest Little Treasure Hunt
2PM to 7PM at Idlewild Park
June 9, 2018

The Biggest Little Treasure Hunt is a citywide event that will have participants exploring over 30 parks to find clues and solve riddles for points. We are need of volunteers to keep this event going and make it an enjoyable experience for every participant. Volunteer positions include registration, clue stewards, and point trackers. There are different shifts depending on the position but they will all take place on June 9th. There will be a mandatory orientation for all volunteers on June 8th at either 1 PM or 6 PM. Join us and you will be rewarded with Noble Pie pizza, a TMPF volunteer shirt, an invitation to our awards picnic, and your first beer is on us if you are of age (21+). Every volunteer that registers and shows up will be put into a raffle drawing for 2 tickets to the Fleischmann Planetarium!

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS

Point Trackers
Shift time: 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM (arrive at 1:30 PM)

Each point tracker volunteer will be responsible for up to 5 teams participating in the Treasure Hunt. You will be required to track the teams’ point entries through Facebook and/or Instagram, tally the points, and follow the clue book to make sure each time is scored correctly. We are looking for volunteers that are detail-oriented and are active users of Facebook and/or Instagram. Individuals in this position are required to sit inside on a computer for most of the shift.

Clue Stewards
Shift time: 1:30 PM - 5:00 PM (arrive at 1:00 PM)

This is an independent position that will take place over multiple parks. There will be 1 to 2 clue stewards in designated parks facilitating the specific clue. This may look like resetting bottle rockets, providing supplies like a basketball, handing out water, and overall encouraging volunteers and making the day fun! You will be our second and third set of eyes, making sure none of the participants are cheating in any manner. You will be required to engage with the Treasure Hunt participants so if you are outgoing, encouraging, and looking for an active role, this is the position for you.
