We want to create the equivalent of a 'wikipedia for all potential solutions, to all problems, in all areas'. -Ultimately the goal is to make it easy to see all options for what people can do about problems, side by side. We believe this is going to help people make better decisions, and help the best ideas spread faster.
In a sense it's kind of like building a 'Stack Overflow' for people from all walks of life, a 'general-purpose optimization-network'. -except we're going to deck this space out with interesting new tools, such as the 'token' and 'layer' systems.
We're building using Open Source principles so our network can also provide a foundation for communities all over the world to create their own apps. The same way WikiMedia builds using simple, fast code, so everyone can have good access to the network, ours will be simplistic too. -That's where the apps come in, they all draw upon the same voting pools and other data, so everyone in the network can have their own apps, but still be voting together. Our first app will be one to make Lawgen look sharp, then make it 'on' by default so people with slow connections can switch to basic html Lawgen, while everyone else just encounters a nice, fancy lookin website.
And because our system is built to list all potential solutions for any problem in any area, it can even be applied to itself, and its own tools and apps. Meaning users and developers can be in constant discussion about what features they struggle with, want, or want modified. In other words we can use the tools we use to optimize everything, to optimize the tools we use to optimize everything.
We have a modest HTML 'demo' posted at Mockup.Lawgen.Org, which people can also find on our main page Lawgen.org. -Unfortunately, it's not smart phone friendly, but pictures are worth a thousand words so it's worth checking out. Lawgen.org also has a 'project manifesto', if people prefer reading.
We're looking for programmers of all kinds right now. We're using agile development instead of the 'waterfall' method, so if you're interested and know how to write code, or are even just willing to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
There's a few skills we know we need:
CSS,
DOCKER,
automated testing,
server-administration, and
specialties in databases.
There's lots of other ways to help too, so if you think showing the world we could be making decisions using rational, egalitarian methods, or you find this project cool for any other reason, definitely let us know at TheLawgenProject@Gmail.com
Thanks for tuning in

To build the wiki for all solutions, to any problem, with any thing.
Description
Needpedia's goal is to build the wiki for all possible solutions to any problem, with anything. But more than that, our goal is connect people over the best ideas on Earth. So we also built a social media site, both so that people can use the social media site to collaborate on ideas they like in the wiki section, and so that people can use the wiki section to improve and even govern/democractize the social media section.
