Children Across America: Empowering Communities
Children Across America, a humanitarian organization, provides literacy support to under-served children in the United States. Its vision is to empower families and children in under-served communities. Its unique programs are focused on improving and driving educational excellence. The organization partners with libraries and school systems to ensure children get the full benefit of its programs. To learn more, please visit ChildrenAcrossAmerica.org.
As we launch for our 4th year of this program, we have added basic coding and science projects as part of our STREAM initiative (Science. Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Math) Our summer club starts on July 8th thru August 23rd and we have an opportunity for several volunteers. The club is from 930 AM until 1230 PM, Monday thru Friday. A free healthy lunch is offered from 1145 until 1230 and is optional. These children can be joined by their siblings for lunch at no charge. MANY OF OUR COLLEGE KIDS LEAVE TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL IN AUGUST. WE DESPERATELY NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS FOR THE AUGUST PORTION OF OUR PROGRAM.
Our objective is to promote Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Math as a lifelong activity, as a fun activity. We want children to love learn, develop a passion for it. A healthy lunch will also be provided on site for free everyday.
Key responsibilities would include leading reading circles, play math games, lead science projects, teach coding at a basic level, manage art projects and instruct in general STREAM initiatives and to supervise the children while they eat.
Whether you can 5 days a week or 1, we need you. This can fulfill your community service hours or for college credit. We are a Presidential Volunteer Service Award organization and everyone who puts in a minimum of 100 hours will be submitted for the award. This looks great on a college application. If you are interested in this opportunity and it is a cause you are passionate about, please contact us. Please visit our website @ www.childrenacrossamerica.org and like us on our Facebook page to follow our activities.

Description
CAA has a combination of medical and educational programming.
Our main educational program is a STEM and Coding program for all children. We also focus on children K-5 grade that come from families that English is not their first language. Our Summer Reading and Math Club (Children's Book Club) and our Saturday Reading and Math club's goal is to raise the level of literacy in America's children. Our Math Clubs are to help develop children's basic math skills. We help all children but our main focus is the underserved population of America. Our signature program is our Summer STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club, that runs from July through August and our Saturday STREAM and Girls Love to Code Club that runs each Saturday.
Our main medical program and focus of our medical programming is Health Promotion in motion. This is a immunization and preventative healthcare initiative focused on making sure every child in America is immunized per CDC guidelines and has healthcare coverage. We are a vendor for the State for Mass healthcare signps.
