The Family Strengthening Program in Boise is looking for someone to wrap and organize diapers on a weekly basis. On average, the Family Strengthening Program has 25-30 participants. We give away about 450 diapers a week. Participants receive three appreciation items every week they attend including diapers, school supplies, clothes, etc. The parent support group is a 20 week program that focuses on the Five Protective Factors.

The Five Protective Factors are as follows

1. Parental Resilience - when adversity or negative situations happen this is the families' ability to overcome
2. Social Supports - healthy relationships for parents and children
3. Parenting and Child Development - a family's knowledge on age appropriate milestones (activities and behaviors) for children, discipline techniques, and parents’ attachment with their children.
4. Concrete Needs - basic needs that a family needs to survive such as food, clothing, and shelter
5. Social Emotional Competence of Children - the ability to articulate feelings when they occur, recognizing everyone has feelings, and how to react
